Performance and Fuel Economy

Under the hood, the 2025 Carnival Hybrid swaps the traditional V6 for a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a 54kW electric motor. This setup delivers a combined 242 horsepower and 271 lb-ft of torque, routed through a six-speed automatic transmission to the front wheels. While slightly less powerful than the non-hybrid model, the hybrid's torque boost enhances low-speed responsiveness and overall drivability. Kia's advanced systems like E-Ride and E-Handling, smoothens  out the ride over bumps and enhances the Carnival Hybrid's responsiveness during cornering and emergency maneuvers, adding significant comfort and easy driveability. Equipped with a hybrid powertrain, the Carnival Hybrid's fuel efficiency is a significant selling point. Although official EPA ratings are yet to be announced, estimates suggest around 31.75 mpg, a considerable improvement over the non-hybrid's 19/26 mpg. This positions the Carnival Hybrid as a strong contender against the segment-leading Toyota Sienna Hybrid.
