The Top 4 KIA Cars For 2023

2023 KIA Niro Lineup Over the years, KIA has shocked the automotive industry with their affordable and innovative vehicle releases. Having said that, deciding on the "best" KIA cars is quite a task, and frankly impossible since everyone has different needs and requirements for their vehicles. To simplify things, we'll review the best KIA cars for 4 different categories: Sporty, EV, Family Car, and Compact. As mentioned before, everyone has different priorities, so take this list with a grain of salt. Now without further ado, the top KIA cars for 2023 are....

Best KIA Sporty Car: KIA Stinger

2023 KIA Stinger The KIA Stinger received an overwhelmingly positive response upon its initial release, garnering attention from automotive enthusiasts worldwide for its striking design and impressive performance. Boasting standard rear-wheel drive and a 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine capable of delivering a staggering 300 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque, the Stinger stands out as an affordable but high-performing vehicle in its class. For those thirsting for more power, the Stinger, for an additional cost, can be upgraded to all-wheel drive, and equipped with the available 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, churns out a robust 368 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque. KIA's unexpected shift towards producing high-performance vehicles can be attributed to the hiring of Albert Biermann, former Vice President of BMW's performance M division. Biermann's expertise in developing exciting M cars, combined with KIA's reputation for reliability, led to the creation of the KIA Stinger. However, good things don't last forever; the Stinger will be retired after 2023 as KIA shifts its focus towards their electric and hybrid lineup. It can't be denied, the KIA Stinger left a mark on the automotive world, marking a pivotal moment in KIA's transformation from an underdog to a major player in the automotive industry. Best KIA EV Car: KIA EV6

2023 KIA EV6 "Best of the Year", "Car of the Year""Best Electric Vehicle", "World Performance Car".  Just a few of the numerous awards the KIA EV6 has received over the years. I hear you asking "What about the KIA Niro EV, it costs much less!" Sure, the Niro EV is more affordable, but if you're talking about pure specs, the EV6 is the way to go.  For example, the KIA EV6 is built on the E-GMP platform, allowing for a 10-80% charging time of 18 minutes. The Niro EV on the other hand, utilizes the K3 platform, extending charge time to 45 minutes. Regarding performance, the KIA EV6 goes from 0-60 in 3.2 seconds, while the Niro EV, in 7 seconds.  Additionally, the KIA EV6 offers AWD at an additional cost, while the Niro EV comes solely as FWD. This does not mean the Niro EV is a bad vehicle, it's far from it. In fact, if you're looking for an EV with one of the lowest MSRPs, but with a plethora of utility, the Niro EV will serve you well. But if you can afford either vehicle, go with the EV6 and thank me later. Check out our 2023 KIA EV6 Inventory - starting at $48,700

Best KIA Family Car: KIA Telluride

2023 KIA Telluride If you're looking for a spacious family SUV with three rows of seating, the KIA Telluride is the SUV for you. But don't take our word for it, just listen to what others are saying. Named Kelly Blue Book's Best Buy for 2023,  Kelley Blue Book's Best Resale Value Winner, NACTOY's North American Utility Vehicle of the Year, MotorTrend SUV of the Year, Car and Driver 10 Best, Good Housekeeping's Best Mid-size 3-Row SUV, and much more. So what's so great about the KIA Telluride? First of all, it's spacious. Very spacious. With second and third-row seats folded, the KIA Telluride offers 87 cubic feet of cargo volume; plenty of space for hauling groceries or luggage for family trips. The Telluride also does a great job when hauling passengers and cargo with its robust 3.8-liter V6, capable of 291 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. Best KIA Compact Car: KIA Forte

2023 KIA Forte The KIA Forte was my first car back in 2016, so I might be a little biased here. Even without bias, however, the KIA Forte has proved to be a solid, reliable compact car that'll take you from point A to point B with relative ease and efficiency. Sure you won't win any drag races, nor will the base engine blow your socks off. But the Forte will always get you to your destination with no complaints. The base compact KIA Forte is also great as a new driver's car as its light and nimble nature makes handling a breeze and parking an afterthought. However, the KIA Forte doesn't have to solely be a simple commuter as higher trims offer a turbocharged 1.6-liter inline-4, capable of 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. A manual stick-shift is also available for the GT trim, which, let's be honest is a complete rarity in the current automotive market.
