• KIA has just released teaser images for the upcoming all-electric EV3.
• Expected to start in the $25,000~$30,000 range, the EV3 could be the budget-friendly EV consumers are looking for.
• It's still unclear if the $7,500 tax credit will apply, but the reveal on May 23rd may shed some light.

If you remember, KIA released concept images of their future EV lineup last October on an event dubbed “KIA EV Day.”  Cut to a couple of months and concept images later, and we finally have glimpses of what the production model EV3 will look like. Unlike many concepts, though, the production EV3 stays true to its inspiration, with only a few slight changes to head and tail lights. In KIA's own words:

"The interior of the Concept EV3 creates an expansive visual sense, providing an environment that promotes emotional wellbeing, enhanced by soft mood lighting and ultra-clean dashboard surfacing. Advanced ergonomic seat design comprises natural fiber structures to deliver a lightweight, slimmer seat design. The exceptionally strong, fiber weave enables more elegant, modern aesthetics, complemented by soothing natural tones. For the seat covers, the CMF team applied 3D Knit technology. These materials combine with tables that slide forward and backward and can support four modes: Focus, Social, Refreshing and Storage. The console table contains bio-plastic materials leveraged to create a forward-thinking solution."
