How Much Horsepower Does The KIA EV9 Have?

The KIA EV9 gives multiple power options depending on which of the three trims you go with. The first trim, the EV9 RWD Long Range sports a 99.8 kWh battery pack, and paired with a single motor, makes a respectable 215 horsepower. With one electric motor, and factoring in the weight of the EV9 (KIA's largest vehicle), the EV9 Long Range goes from 0-60 mph in 9 seconds. The second trim, the EV9 RWD Standard Range utilizes a smaller 76.1 kWh battery with a single motor, making 215 horsepower, just like the Long Range Model. However, due to the lighter battery pack, the RWD Standard Range will go from 0-60 mph in 8 seconds. The top-of-the-line 2024  KIA EV9 is the EV9 All Wheel Drive trim, and is the fastest of the bunch. The EV9 AWD is most likely powered by a 99.8 kWh battery pack, and is equipped with dual electric motors. The EV9 AWD cranks out a eye watering 379 horsepower and goes from 0-60 in an impressive 6 seconds.

How Much Range Does the KIA EV9 Have?

The KIA EV9 RWD Long Range boasts an impressive range of 336 miles. Mileage for the other trims are still not released. However, since the 99.8 kWh battery EV9 Long Range is the most efficient of the EV9s, the other two trims will most likely end up in the high 250~ 300 mile range. Again, range numbers are still unconfirmed for the other trims, so take this with a grain of salt.

How Fast Does The KIA EV9 Charge?

Ultra Fast Charging is available by utilizing the EV9's standard 800V architecture. Using DC Chargers, the 2024 KIA EV9 can go from 10 to 90 percent in under 25 minutes.

The 2024 KIA EV9 will come with a host of interior features, designed for comfort and a seamless driving experience. With the 2024 KIA EV9, owners will receive:

How Much Will The EV9 Cost?

The 2024 KIA EV9 does not have an official starting MSRP. However, many analysts and news sources speculate that the 2024 KIA EV9 will cost anywhere from $54,000 to $56,000 for the base trim.

Is There A Performance Version Of The 2024 KIA EV9?

If the 379 horsepower of the EV9 AWD did not satisfy you, we have good news. KIA has confirmed that they are working on a performance version of the EV9. Called the EV9 GT, KIA is planning to release the GT in early 2025. It's too early to know how much horsepower and torque the EV9 GT will have. But looking at the 576 horsepower EV6 GT, the larger EV9 GT will most likely make meet or exceed those numbers.
